Earthnaut Moment – Log 044 – Go Blue!!! (Blue Origin)

Chance, the Earthnaut Lead Research Engineer, and First Officer of the IFS Thunder (a Star Saucer).

GO BLUE! GO BLUE! GO BLUE!

Oh, . . . good evening, citizens of Earth! I’m Chance ?, the lead research engineer of Earthnaut Expeditions I & II, as well as the new First Officer and Chief Engineer of the IFS Thunder ? , which is our Engedian Star Saucer as you know!

Mr. Ben, Ms. Jessica and the kids ask me why I like my blue hat so much. You know why? ? I LOVE BLUE ORIGIN!!! ?

Blue Origin and the New Shepard system.

Anyway, on behalf of myself and my 9 friends I wanted to congratulate the Earth company ? Blue Origin ? on the flight of their New Shepard space craft!  It seems like Humans are becoming good at landing and reusing their spacecraft, which is something the Engedian people like me have been doing for thousands of years!

Blue Origin’s New Shepard launch configuration.

New Shepard was designed to take people who want to experience a few minutes of weightlessness into space, past the Karman Line which is 62 Earth miles (or 100 Earth kilometers) above Earth’s surface!  Right now, Earth ships don’t have the artificial gravity generators that Engedian saucers like the Thunder ? have, but it’s pretty fun to be able to float around inside your ship.  I can understand why the Humans love to do that!

New Shepard’s exterior and interior.

New Shepard was built to hold several passengers. Unlike the old Apollo space program, the interior and the seats of this space capsule are much more comfortable. And the windows are bigger two so you can see a lot more of outer space out the window and get fantastic views of the earth below!

New Shepard booster and man size comparison.

New Shepard is fairly small compared to other earth Rockets. Even the IFS Thunder is bigger than the rocket, but we have to remember this is all about fun and exploration. That’s the most important thing!

New Shepard flies again on April 29, 2018!

It was fun watching the launch yesterday. You Humans like to count in reverse from 10 down to 1 and then fire the rocket’s engine. This one’s called a BE-3!

Earthnauts Eli, Chance, Sneak and Union watch New Shepard’s flight on Mr. Ben’s computer.

I watched the flight on Mr. Ben’s computer with Sneak, Eli and Union. The Rockets flight only lasted about 10 minutes, but it was a great success for mankind’s efforts to fly into space and be able to land rockets! And all without having to rely on gogovernments or payments from them to do it!Fantastic!

New Shepard’s booster makes a safe landing!

After the New Shepard capsule separated from the booster, the booster returned to Earth, at or near a landing pad where it fired its rockets and floated safely down onto the pad.  This costs less in Human money than the old Earth rockets that would just throw their booster away.

New Shepard capsule makes a safe landing!

Of course, the capsule falls to Earth but parachutes open and help the capsule float safely down to the ground where the crew can exit safely after enjoying themselves.

Watching New Shepard: Earthnauts (l to r) Eli, Sneak, Chance, and Union

So congratulations, Blue Origin!!! Mr. Ben and his family really like your company and the rockets you’re developing . . . and so do my fellow Earthnauts and I!

IFS Thunder, and New Shepard’s interior giving Union a new saucer bridge idea!

Sneak, Eli, Union and myself really liked the way the space capsules’ interior was circular and everyone loosely faced each other like a round table. Union has a great idea for having me redesign the Thunder’s bridge.

First Officer / Engineer Chance, and the IFS Thunder flying near Phoenix, AZ.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to get ready to work on this! Captain Echo, Oceana, Lagrange, Medallion, Lady Tia and The Grand Elder will be back soon after flying a survey mission near Phoenix, Arizona. Maybe Echo and Union will let me set up an anti-gravity setting so we can float around in our ship sometimes!

So ? Blue Origin ?, my blue hats’ to you . . . GO BLUE!!!? ? ?

For the Great Galactic Space Gimmick, I’m Earthnaut Engineer Chance ? . . . with some help from Gimmick Commander Mr. Ben! ?‍? ?
