ELI: “Good morning, friends of the Earthnauts and The Great Galactic Space Gimmick! I am Sergeant Eli, Expedition II member, Co-pilot of the IFS Thunder, and her Second Engineering Mate!”
“Today, Mr. Ben is taking Elder/Dr. Union, Professor Lagrange, our saucer’s Captain Echo and myself up to Cheyenne Mountain just south of Colorado Springs. Many years ago, Mr. Ben’s country called America built a top-secret fortified base inside this mountain called NORAD. It was meant to protect the American government and key policy people in case there was a war between them and other countries with devastating thermal nuclear devices.”
UNION: “Yes Eli. Mr. Ben got us as close to the mountain with NORAD as he could. Also, it kept our visible profile too small to be noticed by Mr. Ben’s national forces.”
LAGRANGE: “What Sneak and I have been able to determine is that ‘the Administration’ would not allow them to move on us, bring us in for questioning, or try to capture our ship.”
CAPTAIN ECHO: “And it’s much less likely considering the fact that our ship is flying around the area right now with Sneak at the flight controls. Chance seems to have devised an anti-detection System that will not allow Earth air traffic radar, even from the military and NORAD, to be able to detect it. Seeing her flying around the area above us right now proves that it’s working!”
UNION: “That’s good to know, Echo. It would be a shame for us to fly in on our ship and be transported down to go on foot patrol and not be able to enjoy the gorgeous mountain scenery around here! I have always been taken back by the wonder and the beauty of Colorado since we landed in Mr. Ben’s yard 11 Earth-months ago.”
ELI: “Even so, I still feel like we shouldn’t look back too much. NORAD could be spying on us! LOL!!!”
