Good evening, friends of “The Gimmick!” I’m Agent Equellus, daughter of Mr. Ben and the Earthnaut’s Human agent on Earth!
Today, we have another chapter of Earthnaut Profiles, and we’re starting with Captain Echo, the commander and chief pilot of the IFS Thunder (their Starsaucer)! I had the chance to interview him after a very eventful mission he just went on (and my Dad’s writing about . . . so stay tuned!!!).
AGENT EQUELLUS: Hi Echo! How are you today?
ECHO: Very good, Agent Equellus! 🙂 I’m a little tired from my last mission but I know that many children are safe thanks to me and my friends here. I helped some Earth forces called Marines, Air Force, and one called the IDF who were helping a children’s refugee camp.
AGENT EQUELLUS: Wow, I can’t wait to hear that story! Tell us some things about you, Echo.
ECHO: Well, I’m Echo, an Engedian from the House of Samekh. I’m a Captain in the Engedian Star Force and Commanding Pilot of the IFS Thunder.
I’m about 35 Earth-years old, and I was recently promoted to Major-Captain by the Grand Elder for my heroism and leadership on the Earthnaut teams.
I’ve earned 16 doctorates as well!
AGENT EQUELLUS: 16 doctorates? How can you earn so many?
ECHO: All Engedians like me are encouraged to get as much schooling as possible so we can learn more about the Universe and Space. I earned degrees in Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Starcraft development, Mathematics, Language Arts, Self-Defense Tactics, and many others. My major specialty is public service, namely defense, commerce protection, and search & rescue.
AGENT EQUELLUS: So tell us more about your background.
ECHO: I am a die-hard follower of duty, honor, and purpose. This purpose is to enforce Engedi’s protection and to help and defend all other interstellar races (including Earth) from oppression and danger. Since he I was a young boy on Engedi, I was inspired by the Engedian Elders’ examples of kind leadership and the promotion of peaceful scientific development.
When I saw one particular race called the Agagans become envious of Engedi, and even enraged at Engedi’s refusal to use their scientific might to rule over others like they wanted to, I joined the Engedian Star Force.
I obtained the rank of Captain when I was the Earth equivalent of 26 years old and had two young teenage scientists named Union and Sneak design me a saucer called the IFS Thunder as part of their teenage doctorates in saucer building.
I used the IFS Thunder drive back the Agagans’ repeated attempts to conquer their planet and many other star systems in the Milky Way.
Besides this, I have helped the Engedian Star Force keep galactic commerce and trade routes clear of hazards such as rogue comets and black holes, and helped Engedian nuclear scientists build new stars in the outer edges of the Milky Way and other galaxies.
AGENT EQUELLUS: YOU HELPED BUILD STARS??? How is that possible?
ECHO: I”ll let Sneak talk about that shortly. He’s the expert on this ?.
AGENT EQUELLUS: So tell us why you became an Earthnaut.
ECHO: I, like virtually every other Engedian, love to explore Space. I have been fascinated with the Great Imm Leader’s throneworld Earth and has come not only to explore it but to provide security for his other friends and the Human Race itself from enemies like the Agagans and the Ahhn forces. And sometimes I help protect Humanity from . . . itself.
AGENT EQUELLUS: Well that’s great Echo. Thank you for taking the time to talk today. You’re very nice and I’m glad you’re staying here with my family and I.
