The School Days of Gimmick: Liquid Volume

Hello once again, it’s time for another column entry of The School Days of Gimmick!

Today’s article comes from my son, designated “Agent Fox” to our little green “visiting scientist boarders” πŸ‘½ from another world (see HERE for the details! 😁).

He had a third-grade assignment recently on liquid volume.  So here it is for you to enjoy! πŸ™‚

Liquid Volume: A 3rd Grade Science Report

Forward from Agent Fox: This report is very short but has some facts that science lovers would love to see again! Together, my Dad and I will take you through some brief details of “Liquid Volume!”

“This H2O bottle holds about 1 L.”

AGENT FOX: I’m showing an example of a specific liquid, namely water, at 1 L.

“One milliliter is about 20 drops for an eye.”

AGENT FOX: What I mean by this is that a standard eyedropper dispenses 0.05 ml per drop, meaning there are 20 drops in 1 milliliter of liquid per math calculations.

“The upper left holds about 5 mL. The lower left can hold about 90 L. “

AGENT FOX: These are some examples of containers that could hold liquid (but they don’t). This shows various sizes of measure.

“1000 mL equals 1 L.”

AGENT FOX: My Dad says that I correctly show that 1000 ml = 1 L of liquid.

“So there you have it. Some basic principles of liquid Volume from my 3rd Grade science class! I hope you like it as much as my Mom and Dad did!”

For the Great Galactic Space Gimmick, I’m Gimmick Fox” πŸ™‚
