The Earthnauts’ Colonial Star Symposium continues from last time . . .
“And here we are with Agent Fox (at Goldfield, AZ) in the back of one of the horse-pulled wagons they once used before Humans developed the combustion and electricity-powered transports that are used today.”
“And now, Elders of Engedi, once again it’s Oracle Medallion!”
Highways, Railways, and Airways – Utah, and Arizona
MEDALLION: “The next presentation here shows these advanced modes of transport that have replaced horse-drawn transportation. Mr. Ben, Union, and I went to the Phoenix Airport. We flew on a fuel-combustion, winged jet aircraft from Phoenix to another large Human habitation called Salt Lake City to visit Miss Jessica’s family in a small city nearby.
“Mr. Ben, do you have anything to add?”
MR. BEN: “Yes I do. Once we arrived, Union and Medallion wanted to ride an electric train. It’s like the trains that Union, Sneak, and Oceana discussed 2 Earth-Sun orbits ago in another report, but powered by electricity. We traveled on this and then a combustion-fuel train after this to get us close to Miss Jessica’s family’s town”.
DR. UNION: “Indeed we did! The city where Miss Jessica is from is called Brigham City. We had a good time visiting and even dined at another local hamburger restaurant like the one that Mr. Ben, Agent Fox, Sneak, and I visited over 1 Earth-Sun orbit ago and many times since.”
DR. UNION: “The combustion-fuel ground vehicle that Humans use is called an Automobile. These replaced horse-drawn wagons due to their speed and ability to travel long distances quickly. It is also a good way to explore Earth close up. Mr. Ben and Miss Jessica are shown here taking pictures near a place called Cedar City.
MEDALLION: “Next we stopped at Zion National Park, where there are great cliffs made of sandstone that turn the color of the materials in the water that seeps through. Some red for iron oxide and some that are white. We did not stay long, but we plan to come to visit again soon!”
DR. UNION: “Finally, we made it back to Arizona State. As you can see, many renowned geographical areas and ‘National Parks’ exist there. This is the same Grand Canyon that we flew in the IFS Noble over. Nearby is the extinct cinder-cone volcano called Sunset Crater. Close by is the San Francisco Peaks which is considered a dormant volcano. And finally, you see the Valley of the Sun where our Earth Colony resides.”
<The Engedian elders applaud>
“Mr. Ben, tell the Elders about other uses of your land vehicles.”
Arizona Speedway – Queen Creek, AZ
MR. BEN: “Sure thing, Union. Agent Fox and I took Chance, Captain Echo, and Eli to see some specialized ones at the Arizona Speedway. This is where special once called ‘Race Cars’ engage in competition. These have larger motors and are meant for speed and competition. What you see here are called Sprint Cars which have a large airfoil on the top to help with aerodynamic control.”
ELDERS OF ENGEDI: “Captain Echo, you wrote in the whitepaper about how these vehicles are numbered and that there are many short races that last a couple of laps, correct?”
CAPTAIN ECHO: “Yes I did. They are very powerful and fast as well. Very competitive and entertaining”.
MR. BEN: “Here you see Agent Fox and Chance watching the races. I’m also in here enjoying watching them too. I once used to work on automobiles before I joined the Human Space Program”.
“There are also other car types that race such as late-models, minis, and of course the sprint cars. Obviously Chance is very much into it and loves how these cars work!
AGENT FOX: My Dad got pictures of us with a black sprint car. The guys looked at the vehicle, it’s mechanics, controls, and other things that make it work. Captain Echo thinks that making the Star Saucer cockpits feel like these might be something fun to do sometime.”

MEDALLION: “Thank you, Agent Fox. Let’s look at another place we visited.”
